Dane Cook - Decembre 12, 2009 - Centre Bell
For Immediate Release
With the large scale success of his ‘ISolated INcident – Global Thermo Comedy Tour’, which was attended by over 400,000 people this spring, coupled with the success of his Comedy Central special and comedy album ISolated INcident, Dane Cook has now announced plans for Phase Two of his worldwide tour that will stop at the Bell Centre in Montreal on December 12th!
“I’m really looking forward to playing many different areas where I have never been before and I’m excited to perform for my fans who have supported me throughout the years, but who have never had a chance to see me live,” said Cook.
After proving his star power in front of a combined live crowd of 70,000 people with two highly rated specials, “Vicious Circle” for HBO and “Rough Around the Edges” for Comedy Central, Cook reinvented himself with ‘ISolated INcident’, where he shares his standup insights with a more intimate crowd. The special was Comedy Central’s highest- rated and most watched stand up special of 2009 with 3.2 million total viewers. Previously Cook created, directed and starred in HBO’s nine-part comedy documentary series, “Tourgasm” and wrote, executive produced and starred in “Vicious Circle,” a feature-length stand-up event.
Cook has proved a strong force in the industry with his debut CD/DVD release, Harmful If Swallowed which has been certified platinum, as well as with his sophomore effort, Retaliation, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified double platinum. Cook’s May 2009 CD/DVD release of ISolated INcident hit the Billboard Top 200 chart at #4. Cook is the only comedian to break the Billboard Top 4 twice. ISolated INcident debuted #1 on the Billboard Top Independent Chart and the Billboard Comedy Chart.
